Spaces & Capacity
How many guests can Newport Car Barn hold?
Trolley Hall, our main hall, holds up to 3,000 guests. The Conductor Room seats up to 250, with a maximum capacity of 400. The Caboose holds up to 75.
Can we hold both the ceremony and the reception here?
Yes. Both your ceremony and your reception can take place on site.
Are animals allowed?
Yes, we allow animals in the building.
Pricing & Booking
How much does it cost to rent Newport Car Barn?
Pricing depends on your date, the space you choose, and what your event needs. Send us an inquiry with your date and guest count and we'll get back to you with exact pricing.
What's included with a rental?
Tables and chairs, a podium, a stage, Wi-Fi, and electric.
What costs extra?
Additional bar service hours, additional rental hours, linens, lighting, and sound.
How do I reserve a date?
A deposit of 50% of the venue rental fee plus a $750 damage deposit holds your date. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your event.
Do I need event insurance?
Yes. Clients must list Newport Car Barn as an additional insured.
Do you offer a non-profit discount?
Our non-profit discount is available to qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organizations hosting an event that directly supports their organization's mission. We may ask for documentation confirming current non-profit status.
Timing
When can we get into the building?
Access begins at 8 a.m. on the day of your event for setup.
When does the event need to end?
Teardown must be completed by midnight. Our hard end time and noise curfew is 1 a.m.
Food & Drink
Can we bring our own caterer?
Yes. Outside caterers are welcome but must be approved by Newport Car Barn. A 10% catering fee applies.
Can caterers use the kitchen?
Yes, approved caterers have access to our kitchen.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
No. Due to our liquor license requirements, all alcoholic beverages and bar service must be provided exclusively by Newport Car Barn.
What bar options do you offer?
We offer open bar packages and cash bar options.
Décor
What are the décor rules?
Open flame and confetti are not permitted. Sparklers are allowed outside the building.
Can we hang décor?
Yes, we have plenty of space to hang décor.
Getting Here & Accessibility
Is parking free?
Yes. Parking is free, with a total of nine parking lots.
Is the building wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The building has two ramp entrances and four ADA-accessible restrooms.
How does vendor load-in work?
Vendors can drive into the building to unload, and a lift is available on site. Vendor access begins at 8 a.m. on the day of the event.
